Full Form: National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate)
Purpose: NEET-UG is India's single national-level medical entrance examination conducted for admission to undergraduate medical programmes, including MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BSMS, BUMS, and BVSc & AH, in government and private medical institutions across the country. It is also accepted by AIIMS, JIPMER, and many other prestigious medical institutions.
Conducting Body: National Testing Agency (NTA)
Eligibility: Candidates must have passed or be appearing for Class 12 (10+2) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English from a recognized board. General category candidates must secure at least 50% aggregate marks in PCB, while reserved categories receive relaxation as per government norms.
Age Limit: Candidates must be at least 17 years old by 31 December of the admission year. There is currently no upper age limit, subject to prevailing regulations.
